We’re excited to partner with Chicago Park District’s Movies in the Parks this summer to show the PBS Independent Lens documentary Bike Vessel: A Bike Ride from St. Louis to Chicago. This film by Eric D Seals premiered February 24, 2025 and portrays the ways that a father and son bond on an ambitious 350-mile bike ride.
We’re also partnering with Equiticity and Major Taylor Cycling Club to plan a bike ride before the movie — a perfect way to enjoy the trail and build community. We’re planning a fun, easy 3-mile ride, perfect for families, friends & anyone new to cycling. Gather at 6:30 pm at Dawes Park, departure at 7pm- relaxed pace, good vibes, and a great way to wind down before the show starts!

Come out to see the film: Tuesday, August 19 at dusk at Dawes Park, 8052 S. Damen Ave.
